The inner portion of the arm, naturally protected from the sun, is covered by a stretchy breathable mesh. The dorsal hand and the outer portion of the arm is protected with a moisture wicking fast dry fabric to absorb sweat and cool you down. The outer arm also has a metallic silver logo that will capture the glare of the sun or the shine of headlights to increase your visibility on the road. Sleeves of bright colors and designs will also improve visibility and safety.
The materials also have moisture-management functionalities which cool your arms in the hot sun. As you perspire, the moisture is wicked away leaving your arms dry and cool. Any light breeze or movement of your arms through the air will feel as if cool air conditioning is blowing on them. The breathable mesh on the inner arm, where your arms are naturally sun-protected, also provides ventilation for cooling. Use the fabric over the hands for wicking or wiping the sweat off the face during workouts.
The beauty of the sleeves is the flexibility to take on and off when you need them.

This sun exposed region of the arms is luxuriously protected with colorful soft stretchable fabric. Tested 50+ to the AATCC method. The inner portion of the arm, or sun protected region, is covered by a breathable mesh to allow in the comfort of a cool breeze. This area is not UPF rated, for this naturally protected undersurface of the arm does not need high protection..
The dorsal hand or outer arm has a wicking and fast dry material to absorb sweat and cool you down. Sleeves have been designed with colorful bright fabrics and patterns with a metallic silver logo to make you safe and more visible on the road.
Fabric
Dr. Jen has sourced comfortable, form fitting technical fabrics for UV protective outdoor wear. Dr. Jen’s UVRx sleeves are constructed with 50+ UPF UV protective nylon/ spandex fabric for the sun exposed regions of the arm. The nylon/spandex blend is soft, stretchable and wicking. Extension of this fabric over the hand is colling and perfect for wiping sweat from the neck and face. The inner aspect of the sleeve–the naturally sun protected surface of the arm–has a breathable, colorful mesh to allow air in to cool the skin. Mesh must be placed on the inner aspect of the arm, as it does not provide sun protection. A specialized engineered grip at the top of the sleeve provides a secure hold on the skin to prevent slippage and a secure fit.
